I Let Google's AI Assistant (Gemini) Pick My Seats… and This Happened

I outsourced my seat choice to AI (Google Gemini) and somehow ended up on the big screen and then in VIP. Coincidence? Maybe not.
My dear Gemini , how surprising you have been.
Lol, I’m torn between giving credit to Gemini or the supernatural for the luck I experienced today.
Last year, I bought two tickets for the ABN AMRO Open semi. I had never been to Rotterdam Ahoy or to a tennis game before, so I had absolutely no idea which seats at the Ahoy would give a great experience within budget.
So, I took a screenshot of the available seats from Ticketmaster and fed it to the diligent Gemini. After a couple of refinements (and opening 2 different chats), it suggested a couple of “best” seat options, and I randomly picked one of them and bought the tickets.
Fast forward to today at the game, just before it started, suddenly 3 of us (Nick, I, and the man beside me) saw ourselves on the big screen, labeled something like “best seats in the house.”
We were completely clueless about what was happening. Was it a kiss cam? Why are there three of us? Are we meant to trade kisses all around like some Valentine’s gift? (It was February 14 afterall). So, we just kept looking at ourselves and smiling nervously, then the man sitting next to me turned to me and said, “I’m sorry, that’s my wife, I can’t kiss you.” And I was like, “Oh, trust me, I don’t want to kiss you either.” 😂
Thankfully, no saliva was exchanged… because as it turns out, it wasn’t a kiss cam at all.
A few minutes later, a woman came up to us and said, “You got the best seats, congratulations. You’ve been upgraded to VIP.” All in Dutch, which I did not understand, and another reason to take my Dutch lessons seriously!
When I finally understood, I was like, “wooo”, basically gobsmacked! LMAOO. Like… how? Why??
As I write this, it still feels like a dream!
Still dazed, she escorted Nick and I to the fancy seats right behind the players, with complimentary food and drinks, plus a brochure I couldn’t read because of the language barrier.
I was just like, “Wow, who could have thought this could happen to me? These are things I see happen to others or hear about, but me? Sweet, Olufunke, wow! Amazing amazing.”
So, what were the odds that Gemini randomly picked the actual best seats in the house? Was it my prompt? Should I add “Prompt Engineer” to my CV?
I can’t get over this! I suppose I should write to the Gemini team to thank them for their hard work, which resulted in a VIP experience in an otherwise unexpected situation.
I have always told everyone that Gemini is fantastic, and now there is hard proof. I’m seriously considering upgrading from my Pixel 8 Pro to a Google Pixel 10 Pro just to get the Gemini AI Plus subscription for free… Financially, the math doesn’t make sense because Gemini AI plus subscription is wayyyyy cheaper than getting a new phone, but who cares?!
